Description:Learning for Life is a research study examining the longitudinal impact for 70 adult learners who participated in Pennsylvania's Adult Basic Literacy and Education Program (ABLE) between 1968 and 2000 and were recognized as Pennsylvania's Outstanding Adult Students of the Year. These 21 men and 49 woman were interviewed between two and thirty-years after participating in the program. It illuminates the educational, employment and social outcomes over time that impact participants, their children and their communities.
